A broken promise
Well they say that promises are there to be broken.............
I have two more canvasses to show, although the waterscape did not turn out as I planned it at all. It was supposed to be an abstract in the style of the other canvasses that I am doing, I was painting it infront of someone and my landscape instincts took over. It is neither one thing or another as it has ended up. I do not really like it and may yet go over it. Well all the masters have overpainted to save costs on canvasses.
The abstract is called '3+2', a really original title, but that's the problem I have with abstracts. The other was to be called 'Over the Water'.
Here's a sample:-
More paintings and ATC's very soon.

The canvas you said you didn't like is my favourite, and my second favourite is the one beneath. i love the dark colours of it, reminds me of one that i painted, and is in fact hanging on my living room wall. brill.

Hi Margaret,
thanks for your comments, but I did not like the canvass titled "Over The Water". I have in fact just completed another two and painted over it.
having done three today it is worth saying that I have been sketching and working on these for several weeks, coming up with more or less final designs in pencil and coloured chalk. The painting is the least time consuming part of the job. It's just that "Over The Water" was done on the spur of the moment sitting in the sunshine last week in my garden and it wasn't supposed to look like that!
Cheers
